IPTI recently conducted an independent review of New Brunswick’s property assessment system, the findings of which have now been publicly released by the Government of New Brunswick. The review concluded that the province’s property assessment system is operating in accordance with international best practices and includes recommendations focused on transparency, communication, stakeholder engagement, and public understanding of the relationship between property assessment and taxation.
