Maryem Mubareka is currently the Director of QualityAssurance and Business Support with Service New Brunswick’s Property AssessmentServices. While her role is primarily focused on leading the QA team andsupporting the delivery of assessment information to 89 local governments andover 480,000 property owners, Maryem has participated in severalcross-departmental legislative and operational changes including the ongoingProperty Tax Overhaul undertaken by the Province. Prior to joining the team in2021, Maryem held regulatory governance, risk and compliance leadership rolesat various public companies across Canada. Maryem graduated from the Universityof New Brunswick’s Bachelor of Business Administration program and ConcordiaUniversity’s Graduate Diploma in Accountancy, gaining her CharteredProfessional Accountant designation following her internship with KPMG inMontreal, Quebec. Maryem also obtained her Canadian Risk Management designationfrom the Global Risk Management Institute.
