Karen holds a Master of Urban and Regional PlanningDegree from the University of Colorado in Denver, Colorado.She has served as the Chief Physical Planning Officer of theDepartment of Physical Development and Urban Renewalfrom September 2012 where she has amassed a wealth ofknowledge and experience in the formulation of landdevelopment policy, community regeneration initiativesthrough various projects and land administrative reforms.She has served as Executive Secretary to the Board of theDevelopment Control Authority for over 12 years where shehas provided guidance on land development policies andthe administration of enforcement. Ms. Augustin leads animpressive team of professionals in managing the landdevelopment process as provided in the Physical PlanningAct. One of the most recent achievements is the launchingof an approved list of Check Consultants and EIAconsultants to the DCA. A group of professionals whomonitor developments and provide EIA reports fordevelopments respectively. Ms. Augustin is always keen onhelping people through the land administration process andyearly updates the application requirements for DCAapplications.
