Josia is an experienced valuation professional from Saint Lucia with over two decades of expertise in real estate appraisal, government valuation, and property assessment. Since November 2024, Josia has served as Supervisor in the Valuations Unit at the Bank of Saint Lucia Limited in Castries. In this role, she manages and mentors valuation staff, reviews complex appraisal reports, ensure scompliance with regulatory standards, and oversees the unit’s appraisal workflow. Previously, she was an Appraisal Reviewer at the Bank of Saint Lucia, where she evaluated valuation reports for compliance with ECCB regulations,Bank policies, and International Valuation Standards (IVS).Her work included verifying methodologies, addressing discrepancies, and providing feedback to appraisers andinternal teams to support sound lending decisions. Josia’s public sector career includes positions as Valuation Officerand Survey Technician within the Ministry of Agriculture,Fisheries, Physical Planning, Natural Resources and Cooperatives, where she conducted valuation exercises,market research, and database management. She began her career as a Valuation Assistant at the Inland Revenue Department’s Property Tax Section, contributing to theisland-wide revaluation exercise.
