Vice President Property Valuation, Municipal Property Assessment Corporation
Mr. Hummel is Vice-President of Property Values with Ontario’s Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) and has more than 32 years experience in assessment. His role is more aptly described as the “Chief Assessor”. MPAC administers a uniform, province-wide property assessment system based on current value assessment in accordance with the provisions of the Assessment Act and provides municipalities with a range of services including preparation of annual assessment rolls used by municipalities to calculate property taxes. MPAC is responsible for the assessment of nearly 4.7 million properties in the province.
